Mechanical design leadership
Concept development, architecture definition, mechanical integration, design reviews and technical decision-making for complex assemblies and industrial products.
Senior Mechanical Engineer · Product Development · Industrial Systems
I help engineering organizations transform complex requirements into reliable, manufacturable and testable mechanical solutions — combining senior design judgement, CAD/PLM expertise, factory implementation experience, validation mindset and hands-on industrial execution.
Professional profile
Senior Mechanical Engineer with broad experience in product development, mechanical systems, structural design, tooling, validation and industrialization. My background spans wind energy, aerospace, advanced mobility, automotive, rail, bathroom products, domestic ventilation and industrial tooling, with a strong focus on bridging engineering intent, manufacturing reality and test feedback.
My contribution is not limited to creating 3D models: I help teams converge on robust solutions, reduce ambiguity and move complex designs towards production, suppliers, validation and industrial implementation.
Core expertise
Concept development, architecture definition, mechanical integration, design reviews and technical decision-making for complex assemblies and industrial products.
Advanced Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience, detailed drawings, configuration discipline, release processes, GD&T, tolerancing and technical documentation.
Design for manufacturability, supplier coordination, workshop support, tooling, production feedback and practical problem solving from prototype to industrial implementation.
Mechanical validation, test benches, GRP bonding tests, structural test support, issue resolution and design improvement based on physical evidence and test results.
Experience in wind energy, aerospace, advanced mobility, automotive, railway, domestic ventilation, bathroom products, plastic parts, sheet metal and industrial structures.
Coordination of designers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, validation groups and international stakeholders in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Selected experience
Worked as a Quest Global contractor directly integrated into GE environments. First phase: Siemens NX design work for wind-turbine tower and nacelle-related systems, leading a small team during design implementation. Factory phase: design liaison at manufacturing suppliers such as Haizea Wind, supervising complex internal tower integration operations, validating design directives and providing feedback between factory and engineering teams. Protolabs phase: design of test benches, validation tooling, load-cell fixtures, yaw-bench tooling, ladder-service test structures and climate-chamber adaptations for GE and other industrial clients.
Short but highly significant advanced-mobility project. Defined primary specifications for several Docklock subsystems: the door/interface connecting the external depressurised tube environment with the capsule interior. Work included docking and approach mechanisms, door-opening concepts and subsystem-level requirements for a capsule concept intended to travel at approximately 1,000 km/h in a depressurised tube, with aerospace-style safety and integration constraints.
Principal design work for a large A400M engine-test structure, requiring robust mechanical architecture, manufacturing awareness, heavy structural design and demanding test-environment constraints.
CATIA V5 design and surfacing work for lighting components, including headlamp housings and rear lamp lens surface repair/preparation for injection-mould tooling. Later validation work at SEAT facilities for luggage-compartment trim and moulded foam tool carriers.
Engineering work for Soler & Palau, Serra Soldadura and IDD. Projects included the Silent Design 100 domestic extractor fan, large welding/assembly fixtures for aerospace structural components, Talgo high-speed train bathroom interiors and CAF Besançon tram full-scale mock-up work.
Product development work in bathroom furniture, accessories and wellness products, including the Wellsuite / Wellness Center environment. Experience with user-facing products, plastic components, assembly details and bathroom-system integration.
Siemens NX product design for radiator and intercooler plastic tanks, mainly glass-fibre reinforced plastic components for automotive thermal-management systems, including Alfa Romeo and Opel programmes.
Manufacturing-oriented foundation in sheet-metal tooling, stamping dies and large mechanical tools, building practical knowledge of robustness, tolerances, machining constraints and workshop realities.
Portfolio
The portfolio expands this CV with representative images and concise technical summaries across wind energy, automotive, aerospace, rail, bathroom products, domestic ventilation, tooling and validation work.
Selected case studies
A selection of projects that reflect my contribution in technical leadership, industrial execution, validation and complex mechanical systems.
Supported onshore nacelle and tower mechanical systems, including internal structures, factory implementation and tower platform-related work. Acted as Design Liaison Engineer in manufacturing environments, connecting product engineering, manufacturing constraints and issue resolution.
Contributed to test rigs, validation tooling, force-test fixtures and climate-chamber adaptations for industrial clients, with emphasis on physical testing, execution support and design iteration based on evidence.
Defined primary mechanical specifications for a complex access interface between the depressurized tube environment and the capsule, including docking, approach, door opening and subsystem-level requirements.
Professional value
Ability to make sound mechanical decisions under constraints, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, testability and long-term product robustness.
Experience moving from requirements and CAD definition to drawings, suppliers, production support, testing and corrective actions.
Calm, structured coordination of engineering work, helping teams clarify priorities, reduce ambiguity and keep technical quality under control.
Broad exposure to real products, factories, suppliers, validation campaigns and multidisciplinary teams across several demanding sectors.
“My strongest contribution is the combination of senior mechanical design judgement, CAD/PLM fluency, manufacturing awareness and the ability to guide technical work beyond the screen — towards products that can be built, tested and trusted.”
